Christmas

Hi Everybody!

Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas! We had a lot of fun and were exhausted when all the festivities were over! Here is a video of Chloe in her new car (her favorite Christmas gift from Grandma and Grandpa!) and a few pictures.

Our Christmas Blogogram to the Punts

Is Blogogram a word? Probably not, but we wanted to let you guys know that we miss you and wish we could be gathering with all of you tonight! The intent of this video was for Chloe to say a few words but after multiple "takes" (as you can tell by my glazed over expression!!) we decided to give up on that and just say Merry Christmas!!

Our past week

I wanted to post an update and let all of you know
that we are doing well! Here is a pic from the
hospital when we finally got Chloe to sit still
long enough for a picture:)

Here is Caleb giving a little smile:)

Isn't he handsome?!?

Here we are taking the little guy home from
the hospital.

Chloe has very much appreciated
all of the new toys she has received
during the past week! Thanks to
Evan and Jana for sending this
doctor set. She has been examining
all of us quite frequently!!!
Thanks again to all of you for all
of your prayers and support! We
hope that all of you have a very
Merry Christmas!!

A Fun Saturday

This past Saturday we ventured to the Christmas
tree farm (an annual tradition). It was really
cold and there was a lot of snow so Chloe and I
stayed in the heated machine shed while Kyle
braved the elements and found and cut down our
tree. He did a great job of finding us a tree even
though it's probably a little bigger than I would
have let him choose had I been along:) We set it
up on Saturday and Chloe is loving all the
decorations.

Later that night we celebrated Chloe's friend
Mason's 1st birthday. Here Rochelle, Beth (Mason's
Mommy), and I took time away from the
festivities to pose for a picture (without the kiddos!).

Chloe had a blast at the birthday party and cried
when we had to leave. Mason's new sled was a
HIT for the older kids (who gave free rides)
and the younger kids. Here are some pics of Chloe
getting pulled around. Who knew a sled could
provide so much fun inside?!?!

Thoughts for the Season

Hi All!

On this snowy December 3rd I just wanted to send out some Advent greetings for all of you! I was given the gift of time with Chloe today as my mom (my sitter) is sick with a cold and I was able to stay home from work. As I've been reflecting on the craziness of the season (and we decided to add a baby on top of it!!) one of the mentor moms in my Mom to Mom group forwarded this video to me and I thought it perfect to share with all of you. I hope you enjoy and I pray that all of you too can find little gifts of time throughout this month:)

And just for fun...

Good News!!

Chloe got to play with some of her girl cousins
this past weekend as we celebrated my cousin
Emily and her husband Brock's recent wedding.
We ate at Pizza Ranch and I think Chloe may
have eaten more than me that night!!!
I had an ultrasound today as baby had been
measuring quite small and we received good news!!
All looks good on the ultrasound and baby has moved
to head down position! It's kinda funny cuz the other
night the baby was moving so much that it caused
me to yell "ouch" and wake Kyle up...I think that's
when baby turned from breech to head down!!
Although my actual due date will not change, today
the ultrasound said a due date of 12/12 which
is my birthday! Wouldn't that be the best
gift ever?!? Thanks for all of you who have
been praying and encouraging us!!

What's New

Hi All! We've had a fun last couple of weeks.
Aunt Tasha came to visit so that was a blast.
Chloe can even say her name now! Of course it
sounds like TaTa but we know what she means!

Had a lot of fun at the park with Grandma
and Grandpa!

I think Kyle is slightly too large for this slide...

Chloe is now insisting on brushing her
own teeth at the sink. This is the only
time we can get her to stand in one
place for more than 2 seconds! I have
a feeling her teeth are not very clean!!

As for me and Baby #2...I'm 33 weeks
and baby is breech AGAIN!! One of
my coworkers said that I must have
a "Heads Up Uterus" and I think
she must be right!! Looks like I'll be
having a Ceserean again.
I'm also measuring small so please
be in prayer that all is well with
Baby Boy Punt!!

Pumpkin Farm

This past weekend Kyle's parents came down
to visit and we went to Carroll's Pumpkin
Farm in Grinnell. Here Chloe is showing us how
tall she is this fall.

Riding a miniature John Deere Tractor!

Kyle and his dad had fun shooting ears of corn
but much to my dismay didn't win any free
popcorn!!

Grandma Judy and Chloe walking back to the
farm from the pumpkin patch.

Grandpa Rog and Chloe checking out the
tractors.

Chloe loved scooping corn! She also tried to
eat it a few times but that's besides the point!!

We had a lot of fun at the pumpkin farm! Thanks
to Kyle's parents for accompanying us to Grinnell
despite some minor mishaps (does not hardly
getting the pastor to the church on time for a
wedding count as minor??)

Happy Birthday Kyle!!

Kyle's Birthday was yesterday. Here Chloe is
sitting nicely on his lap for a picture...

Literally 2 seconds later...now she is sick of the
camera and refusing to sit on Daddy's lap...

Note that now she is not in the picture!!! But
the sign that she and Grandma made that says
"Happy Birthday Daddy" is proudly displayed:)

Happy Birthday Kyle!! We love you!!

Chicago Marathon Weekend

Kyle, Chloe, and I traveled with my parents
to Chicago this past weekend to cheer on my sister
as she ran her first marathon. Congrats Tasha
for finishing 26.2 miles!! Doesn't she look awesome
for just running that far?!?

Here is Chloe wearing the Energizer Bunny hat
for Aunt Tasha but also for herself! She didn't
nap all day!!

Chloe congratulating Aunt Tasha on a well run
race!

Here is one of the sights in Chinatown which
is where we watched most of the marathon.

Up ahead you can see my dad running a little
ways with Tasha to encourage her on! This
is at mile 21!

We had a great time and are very proud
of Tasha running 26.2 miles for World Vision.

do it all for the glory of God." 1 Corinthians 10:31.

A Beautiful October Wedding

This past Saturday we went to good friend
Kevin DZ's wedding in Newton. It was held
outside and it was gorgeous! We all had a lot of fun.
Here Chloe is trying on Daddy's sunglasses
(upside down of course!!).

Chloe made some new friends with the people sitting
next to us...

We got to hang out with friends Alan & Angie. Isn't
this an adorable picture?!?

As you can tell, the wedding was a lot of fun...best wishes
to Kevin and Julie as they start their new life together
in Seattle! Oh, and by the way...feel free to move back
to Pella anytime:)

Chloe's News

In the past couple of weeks Chloe has decided
that she is a big girl and wants to eat only
with a spoon or a fork. No more of this eating
with her fingers! She is doing pretty well
although yogurt is still messy!!

Chloe LOVES reading Mommy's Wonder

Time magazine!!

Kyle has "taught" Chloe to scratch his back!!

Iowa Football

Kyle and I were able to go with my dad to the IA vs Northwestern game this past Saturday. Although the Hawkeyes lost, we had a really fun day. Thanks Dad for taking us! Thanks Mom for watching Chloe!!

Fine Dining & Ouchies

What a title, huh?!? The fine dining and the ouchies didn't occur at the same time although they certainly could have!! We took my dad to the Linden House in Lynnville for his birthday this past weekend. Funny, I don't have any pics of him...but the picture of my mom with Chloe is hilarious (my mom might kill me for posting it on the internet!!). We found out that Chloe doesn't really like fine dining...AT ALL!! I would recommend the Linden House cuz the food and the atmosphere were great, but maybe avoid taking your toddler there!!

Chloe's face and knees have had encounters with the cement this week. We were supposed to have pictures today but those have been postponed until she looks a little less beat up!! She loves pointing to her "ouchies" and showing them off:)
